HOLIDAYS FROM THE HEART - Kristen Hertzenberg & Philip Fortenberry
TWO NIGHTS ONLY!
Kristen Hertzenberg and Philip Fortenberry perform a delightful array of holiday music from their album, taking audiences on a wistful ride and connecting to the heart of the most magical time of the year.
It began with a studio collaboration. In 2011, Kristen and Philip released Holidays From the Heart, an album of holiday standards and non-traditional selections. The record draws from diverse influences, offering stunning versions of “Silent Night,” Beth Nielsen Chapman and Melissa Manchester’s “There’s Still My Joy,” and A Charlie Brown Christmas perennial “Christmas Time Is Here.” Hertzenberg, a versatile vocalist who starred for five years as “Christine” in the Las Vegas production of The Phantom of the Opera, performs the songs with the close intimacy of a cabaret singer and the power of one who belted out Broadway classics several nights a week.
“It’s a true gift each time I make music with Philip Fortenberry. He is absolutely world-class,” Hertzenberg says. “The material we’ve selected brings a warmth and energy that’s entirely different from the rest of the year, and amid the frenzy this season can bring, it puts me right in the frame of mind where I want to be.”

She has also enjoyed playing Sophie in Terrence McNally's MASTER CLASS, Heidi in [TITLE OF SHOW], and starring as Dyanne in the long-running Las Vegas production of the Tony award-winning musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET.
In Las Vegas, Kristen performed alongside Hal Prince in HAL PRINCE’S BROADWAY, an evening of conversation with the legendary Broadway director at The Smith Center. She was a regular in The Smith Center's prestigious Myron’s cabaret space, playing to sold-out audiences with her band, and in cabaret evenings with her musical director, Philip Fortenberry. She created two dynamic shows spotlighting her vocal versatility and performed several times a year on the main stage aboard the ultra-luxury cruise line Seabourn and was the featured vocalist in the collaboration between Celebrity Cruises and the renowned American Ballet Theatre. She continues to perform in pops concerts with various symphonies and in cabaret evenings in venues across the country.
