Discover why The Kansas City Star said it is “like being invited into someone’s home.”

Quality Hill Playhouse, located in downtown Kansas City’s Arts District, produces a season of five musicals and cabaret revues each year. A cabaret revue is a performance with emphasis on the music, usually built around a theme. Each performance features three or four professional singers accompanied by piano or our piano, bass, and drums combo.

In addition to our season of cabaret revues, we also present guest artists and special events.

Kansas City is home to a wealth of extremely talented performers, and Quality Hill Playhouse is committed to hiring the finest local singers and instrumentalists. The Playhouse’s original productions provide these individuals with a venue to perform material

that is selected just for them. By highlighting the strengths of each individual performer, each production showcases the best of

what Kansas City has to offer. Robert Trussell of the Kansas City Star declares,

Tasty musicianship is what we’ve come to expect . . . and that’s exactly what we get.

Not only is the talent first-class, so is the venue. With only seven-rows and 153 seats, Quality Hill Playhouse is Kansas City’s

most intimate theatre and provides excellent viewing and hearing from all seats. You’re never closer to the music!

Professional singers and the relaxed yet elegant atmosphere make for entertainment you won’t find anywhere else.

Our Mission: Quality Hill Playhouse is dedicated to excellence in the live performance of works from music theatre and the evolving American Songbook, employing the finest local talent, and contributing to Kansas City's cultural fabric and economic landscape.
